Last year the 2008 Plant Parts Rap Video Contest solicited your nominations of videos of your young gardeners performing the JMG Plant Part Rap. Some fun and very interesting entries were received. Winners were selected from Wisconsin, Nebraska and Texas. (Click to open PDF of Plant Part Rap and click to see winning entries)
Archive Contest Details & Rules:
1. Video entries must be submitted on CD and mailed to the address below.
National Junior Master Gardener Program Coconut Float Song JMG Video Contest 225 Horticulture/Forestry Sciences Texas A&M University, MS2134 College Station, Texas 77843-2134 PH.979-845-8565, FAX 979-845-8906
2. Entries must be received by October 23, 2009.
3. The video file must be saved on CD, be less than a 200MB file, and less than 3 minutes in length.
4. Any youth included in video must have consent of parent/guardian.
5. All submissions become property of the National Junior Master Gardener program.
6. Three winners will be selected, each receiving their option of one of the following JMG curriculum for free:
JMG Teacher/Leader Guide JMG Youth Handbook Health & Nutrition from the Garden Wildlife Gardener Literature in the Garden Operation Thistle Operation W.A.T.E.R.
6. One first place winner will be selected, and will recieve a free class set of kids gardening hand tools (a total of 25 sets of three tools).
7. All winners ill be featured in upcoming JMG National Newsletters, and on the National JMG Website via YouTube. |
