2008 Toyota Tapesty Grants for K-12 Science Teachers

A partnership between Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. , Inc. and the National Science Teachers Association, the Toyota TAPESTRY Grants for Science Teachers program offers grants to K–12 science teachers for innovative projects that enhance science education in the school and/or school district.

National Gardening Association and The Home DepotTM present the 2008 Yourth Gardeing GrantsTM Program

NGA is delighted to announce that The Home Depot will return as our Youth Garden Grants sponsor for 2008. During its long history, the Youth Garden Grants program has helped more than 1.3 million youngsters reap rewards and vital life lessons from working in gardens and habitats. Thanks to the generosity of The Home Depot, we can reach many more eager young learners.

National Gardening Association Youth Garden Grant

Each year, 300 schools and community organizations with child-centered outdoor garden programs receive seeds, tools, garden products, and educational resources generously donated by companies in the lawn and garden industry. Selection criteria include leadership; need; sustainability; community support; innovation; and educational, environmental and/or social programming. Applications are available from NGA
 beginning in March of each year.
