Pumpkin People
This fun and fast project can be used as part of your fall festivities.
 SUPPLIES
v Gourd pumpkins
v Straw hats, buttons, studs, moving-eyes, craft jewels, small flowers, doll hair
v Moss, raffiea, craft bugs
v Low melt glue gun and glue sticks
v Clay pots (optional)
 STEP 1
I prefer the small gourd pumpkins they are less expensive and will last longer but any size pumpkin will do. The larger the pumpkin the more supplies you will need.
STEP 2
Accessories can be easily applied by sticking in the studs to create the face and gluing the remaining items as they create personalities for their pumpkins.
STEP 3
Do not glue pumpkins to pots they are just for display and are not necessary to the finished project. They are optional.
The pumpkin people are adorable displayed
as a pumpkin village.
 TEACHER TIPS:
If the students take a field trip to a pumpkin patch have them looking for pumpkins with personality. For the gourd pumpkins cost will be between 50 cents and 75 cents per project. Sharpie markers could be used to draw the face further reducing the cost. This project is designed for kindergarten and up.
